Night View From Beobisan Mountain Observatory

Daegu Travel would like to introduce to you Beobisan Observatory where you can have a panoramic view of the beautiful lake of Daegu called Suseong Lake.

You have to first reach Suseong Lake in order to climb up to Beobisan Observatory.
When you get off at the bus stop in Suseong Lake and walk along the alley next to the restaurant right across the bus stop, you will see a signage of a trail on the map saying ‘Beobisan, great tourist spot to take pictures.’

At the first crossroad, go towards the Sports Park on the right as indicated on the map. Then enter the trail on the right of the Sports Park. You will see four signs on your way up. Follow the sign that says ‘사진찍기 좋은 명소 good spot to take pictures’

Even those who hate hiking will find it easy to climb the observatory since the trail is not steep. After walking for about 10 to 15 minutes, you will see an observatory that looks like a Beacon Fire Station. You should head left at the last crossroad.

Once you are up in the observatory, you will have a panoramic view of Suseong Lake and the whole vicinity of Suseong-gu. When it gets dark, the lights turn on one by one. Also, you can see a beautiful sunset view and the night view of Daegu.

Do you see all those apartments far away?
You will be able to see a spectacular view because there are not a lot of high-rise apartments around Suseong Lake.  Take a look and enjoy the beautiful night view through pictures.

Even the lights from Gatbawi Rock and Dongbong of Mt. Palgong can be seen from afar on clear days.

When you travel to Daegu, walk around Suseong Lake where the cool breeze blows, and admire the beautiful night view of Daegu from the Beobisan Observatory.

• Getting to Mt. Beobisan Observatory
