Daegu Shooting Range In South Korea
The Daegu Shooting Range is a colossal complex, located among the rural outskirts of northern Daegu, near the town of Chilgok, a place with beautiful scenic mountains.
The Daegu Shooting Range is open to the general public, no membership required, however, it holds professional competitions from time to time. Both experienced and first time shooters will be pleasantly surprised after their visit to this shooting range.
It is possible to find both indoor and outdoor ranges for different types of guns including pistols, shotguns and air rifles. The facilities are equipped with different kinds of equipment for a pleasant stay.
Inexperience doesn’t matter. Safety does. As soon as you approach the front desk they will ask you to fill an application to check some basic information like age, name and level of experience.
Also they will provide safety gear such as bulletproof vest and hearing protection, considering that guns a very loud when firing, especially at closed space (pistols are fired at the indoor range) you should always wear earplugs.
Don’t be afraid to ask, the staff is nice and they speak fluent English, remember that knowledge is paramount when handling firearms. At the Daegu Shooting Range you will be able to shoot with an experienced firearms instructor. The instructor will try to make your experience as fun and rewarding as possible.
After firing the round of shots you can see your results. Keeping your eyes on the target while aiming a gun requires a lot of focus so the range have small screen next to you to check if you are shooting on target or not. The indoor range is also equipped with electric target retrieval.
As it was mentioned before, clay shooting is also available at the complex (outdoor shooting). In this case participants using shotguns, attempt to break clay targets mechanically flung into the air.
Just like in the indoor range safety is always the first rule, no one chambers a cartridge except for the instructor, and only when the shooter is ready to shoot. Also due to security reason the only person allowed to go to the shooting lane is the shooter, all other spectators have to wait behind a bulletproof window.
The instructor will send a first clay birds into the air without that will allows the shooter to see the arc and speed of the clays.
