Spring Picnic At The Green World Under The Spring Sunshine
Photos and Writing : Eun Young Yoo (Travel Writer)
Green fields, white fences, and gorgeous horses all make up the exotic landscape of Healing Park Pony Farm. This picturesque healing park is located at 740m above sea level, right below the highest peak of the mountain ridge of Biseulsan. The breathtaking view will surely give you incomparable happiness.
The area of Healing Park Pony Farm is approximately 160 thousands pyeong. It is rich in various experience activities. The most exciting activity is horse riding. You can ride a horse for a fee of 10 thousand won. Even in a short time of 6-7 minutes riding around the ranch, it’s greatly worth your money.
There is a large pond perfect for a stroll in the middle of the ranch. In the mountainous ridge over the pond, the verdure of May in the middle of greenery is dazzling, and the ridge of Biseulsan and Hwawangsan mountain unfolds. A day in Healing Park Pony Farm filled with laughter and lush greenery is a time when you feel like having everything.
Bullodong Ancient Tomb Park, Green Walk Crossing 1500 Years
If you prefer a quiet walk in the greenery than having exciting experiences, I recommend the ancient tombs in Bullodong. 214 tombs are gathered in the ancient tombs at Bullodong, on a small hill behind Bullo traditional market. The tombs believed to belong to the indigenous ruling power that lived in the area during 4~5 centuries are completely covered by grass, in its deep, verdant color.
If you walk along the gentle slopes of the road, you will enter through the tombs. Walking in between the tombs seems to resemble the soft curve of burial mounds. With each step, your troubled and worried mind becomes calm and comfortable before you know it. Chickweed, violet, and thistle poke out and smile amidst the green tombs.
The ancient tombs in Bullodong also serve as a small observatory in which you can have a panoramic view of Daegu. This place is most beautiful during sunset. It is a moment when the time of 1500 years is colored in golden lights, and the time of another day is built.
Mabijeong Mural Village, Finding Green Scenery In The City
The mural village of Mabijeong makes you forget that you are in Daegu. There are no tall buildings, honking sounds of automobiles, and stuffy smoke pollution. Only rice paddies and fields, the clear and green scenery flowing from the foot of Biseulsan Mountain embraces the village.
Mabijeong mural village is attractive because the murals blends in harmony as if it were a part of the village. It feels like a hide-and-seek experience finding which is a mural from what is real. It is fun to take pictures of the murals as real life such as eating a lunchbox on stove or pulling the leash of a dog.
There are many other fascinating attractions here aside from murals. The Geobukbawi rock that resembles a turtle, the oldest lacquer tree in Korea, and also the Yeonrimok tree (where the stems of Pyrus pyrifolia and zelkova are connected), can be seen here. You can experience diverse rural activities such as hitting rice cake mallet of Injeolmi, making tofu and sachet in Green Village.
