In Korea, There is a traditional market that is held every 5 days. Five-day market culture dates back all the way back to Joseon dynasty and it used to be where manufacturers like farmers, craftsman, fishermen, and etc. met in set date and space to barter items.
There is Banyawol five-day market in Daegu. On the days the market is open, you can find the place crowded with people, sellers, all sorts of agricultural and marine products, and basic necessities such as shoes and clothes. These items have good qualities and are very cheap.
Fried fish cakes, traditional snacks, grains, freshly baked bread and fresh fruits, and delicious looking foods catch people’s eyes. There are some nice vendors that let the customers test-try some of their products or the fruits and these are the charm of Korean traditional markets.
